Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist, this is your opportunity to enjoy the freedom of making, creating, and playing with ideas and materials in our glorious studio space and our celebrated venue whilst sharing thoughts and skills with like-minded creatives.

Feel at home and make yourself comfortable as you set up your work area in our fabulous studio that opens up to views of the famously beautiful SW France countryside, our mature gardens and heated pools.
Sketch, sew, knit, print, make a mess, invent, take risks, and collaborate artistically with other participants; whatever the venue and gamut of materials and media, that we will be providing, inspire you to do.
Settle into a rhythm of creating with no pressing deadlines, responsibilities or distractions.
Spend time and be mentored by our guest professionals, US author, book designer and creative director, Kelly Lynch; and our MoJo coach in residence and broadcaster, Chris Grimes.
Relax in the friendly, welcoming and supportive ambience of the warm elegance and style that is Les Soeurs Anglaises.
Enjoy the company of fellow creatives in the studio and around the table at convivial meals.
Unwind beside one of our two heated pools, go for long walks, or sit under a tree somewhere to daydream or reflect.
In other words, follow your creative whims, or get down to business on that project you’ve always wanted to tackle. Either way, we would love to welcome you to this relaxing and indulgent week.

As well as providing a wide variety of materials, media, and equipment - fabrics, paints, paper, sewing machines, copiers and much more - to experiment and play with (so no need to bring your own unless you want to start or continue a personal project), we’ll be making sure you work and sleep comfortably, eat incredibly well and totally relax. Be inspired by your fellow participants but choose your own work tempo and rhythm.

We’ll also organise a few simple, optional, creative exercises and a short workshop with an inspirational leader to help spark ideas.

There will be opportunities to visit nearby charming villages and pop into a local marché or brocante to pick up some vintage goodies; always popular outings and a delightful way to spend the morning.

A flexible schedule…

Arrival Day

Travel day - you will be sent information regarding transportation to Les Soeurs Anglaises (pick-ups are generally late afternoon) from Angouleme train station and Bergerac airport. Welcome, Meet + Greet dinner at the house.

DAY 1 WORKSHOP

Find your favourite place to work. Get to know the other participants, settle in, help yourself to materials and think about starting your creative journey.

DAY 2 brocante visit and WORKSHOP

Research, discuss and create. Dinner at local restaurant.

DAY 3 Time out

Optional morning visit to local marché. Have a coffee and sandwich in one of the buzy cafés and pop into one of the antique shops for inspiration. Continue creating or relax by the pool, go for a swim or a walk

DAY 4 workshop

Morning workshop demo. afternoon studio time

DAY 5

Optional visit to popular local brocante to pick up a vintage bargain or two.

Please note: THIS IS A SUGGESTED ITINERARY ONLY. MUCH WILL DEPEND ON THE WEATHER, LOCAL EVENTS AND YOUR PERSONAL CHOICES TIME WISE. EVERY OUTING IS, OF COURSE, OPTIONAL.

What it will cost ….

The cost of the week is per person and is based on the accommodation chosen. All twin rooms are for one person only unless you wish to share with a friend (please be sure to send us an email and let us know.] A registration fee is required to confirm a booking, the balance due 8 weeks prior to the start of the retreat. We have a firm cancellation policy, once you are registered the total of all fees are committed and non-refundable. If you find you are unable to attend the retreat, your spot is fully transferrable to someone of the same gender until 1st May 2024.

In the event that the workshop has to be cancelled for any reason, in all monies received will be refunded.

PRICES per person

A: Single occupancy Superior double bedroom, en suite : $6750 / 6150€ /£5315

B: Shared occupancy Superior double bedroom, en suite: $6000 / 4735€ / £4725 per person (2 bookings together only)

C: Single occupancy of Twin bedroom shared bathroom: $6000 / 4735€ / £4725

D: Shared Twin bedroom / shared bathroom: $5650 / 5150€ / £4460 per person (2 bookings together only)

Local transport and all meals are included in the price.

On receipt of the Booking Deposit of $660 /560€ / £520 we will confirm your place and bedroom accommodation if still available
The Balance for the Retreat is due 8 weeks prior to the workshop
We accept payments by Paypal, UK bank transfer, Sterling or Euro cheque
NOT INCLUDED IN THE RETREAT FEE: airline ticket, insurance [medical, accident, personal loss, or travel].
