Rachel Hazell travels frequently in pursuit of good narrative, finding stories in the simplest things and revelling in complex repetitive structures (whether natural or man-made). Saying yes to opportunities arising means her glass is often more than half full.

Rachel likes standing on top of mountains and singing.

An islomaniac. A seeker of extremities. A bibliophile.

Her work has been included in numerous exhibitions and solo shows, and has come to consist of more site-specific installation that is minimalist and sculptural, whilst continuing to align with the literary past.
