Workshop overview

We are delighted to have join us for first cooking event the multi-talented duo Diana and Lisel of The Jewels of New York, who will be using this workshop to guide participants through a multifarious culinary exploration of the Dordogne countryside. The five days of cooking will focus on South West France's historical produce with a touch of 21st century culinary additions, creating a collection of seasonal recipes and specialty bakes with a highlight on Spring's bounty to keep the menus fresh and exciting.

There will be a visit to a marché, an introduction to a local food producteur and, of course, an opportunity to enjoy all the dishes made during the workshop in our superb, newly equipped kitchen. The workshop will be limited to ten participants to ensure personal attention to individual food preferences.

About The Jewels of NY

Diana Yen and Lisel Arroyo share a vision that combines the love of cooking with the beauty of everyday things. Both come from homes where food was the central focus of family gatherings. From their rich heritages (Diana/Chinese; Lisel/ Puerto Rican), they exude through their recipes a sense of warmth, tradition, and community.

Diana and Lisel met in New York while working for a leading celebrity wedding planner. Their passion for lifestyle design and food brought them together creating The Jewels of New York with a mission to uncover the hidden and traditional foods of different countries and areas therein. Having conquered the Big Apple, catered for Hollywood stars, appeared on Martha Stewart's TV show and been lauded in numerous US cooking magazines they are expanding their culinary research to include Europe, starting with France.
